10 Mukhi Rudraksha: Benefits, Significance, Mantra and How to Wear
The 10 Mukhi Rudraksha (Das Mukhi Rudraksha) is a powerful ten-faceted bead that represents Lord Krishna and carries the energy of Lord Dashavatara Narayan. Worn for protection and spiritual strength, it helps the wearer overcome difficult times and achieve success in life. The 10 Mukhi Rudraksha sourced from Nepal is considered highly beneficial and is valued for its natural healing properties.
Unlike most beads, the Das Mukhi Rudraksha is not ruled by any single planet — it is governed by all planets, which is why it is believed to nullify their ill effects and guide the wearer in the right direction of life.
In the scriptures, it is described in this shloka:
“Dasvakratsatu devesh sakshadeve janardan, Grahchaite pichachashat betalaa brahmaraksha, Panngashopashyamayati dashvakratsatrya dharanaat”
In ancient texts, the Ten Mukhi Rudraksha is regarded as one of the most powerful rudrakshas. It works like a protective shield around the body, brings happiness and general success, and is believed to help relieve respiratory ailments. Astrologically, it has no particular ruling planet — being guided by all planets, it helps neutralise their negative influence.

Pooja for Energizing the Ten Mukhi Rudraksha
An auspicious day and Nakshatra are chosen, taking into account the client’s name, date of birth and place of birth. The mind is cleared of worldly affairs and negative thoughts to achieve a positive, spiritual frame of mind. The East, North or North-East direction is chosen for the mat on which the pooja is performed. The Rudraksha is washed with unboiled milk and sandalwood paste is applied. It is then placed before an idol of Lord Shiva in a special asana. An incense stick is lit before the Rudraksha, and flowers, fruits, sweets and panchamrut are offered.
Panchamrut is a special prasad made of holy water, milk, ghee, honey and curd.
Energization is performed by our special pundits, who chant the client’s name, place of birth and date of birth, requesting Lord Shiva to grant happiness and fulfil all the client’s wishes. With eyes closed, the beej mantra for the Rudraksha is chanted 108 times. This procedure completes the Pran Pratishtha of the holy Rudraksha bead. After this process, the Rudraksha is fully energized and can be worn directly by the client.
