In Hindu Mythology, Mahishasura is a combination of both an Asura and a Mahisha, the water buffalo holding a trident. He is the also known as the destroyer of all Devas as they were the enemies of Asuras. Mahishasura is a legend that holds an important place in Hindu mythology because the goddess Durga was incarnated in order to slay him.

Buffalo is a signification of Tamoguna, i.e. laziness, ignorance and lethargy. It is essential that for being successful in life we have to destroy these qualities otherwise these can cause downfall and failures in our life. The story of Durga and Mahisha shows the destruction of tamoguna which destroys our positive qualities. And this is an important battle in the life of Hasta natives! In the story of Mahishasura, he became so powerful that he started controlling the Gods. Thus Gods came together and created powerful Durga to destroy the demon. Therefore, this also indicates that we should keep our ego and arrogance in check, and should seek the blessings of Goddess Durga to defeat our inner demons( lethargy, arrogance and ego )

It is essential that we have to dicard such qualities of laziness, lethargy and the things that are harmful for us. We should try to enhance our innate qualities and positive enrgy, so that we can get rid of the Mahishasura like quaalities. The hoy vibes cannot reach to a person, if he or she is not aware about the positive traits of the same.
