Shravan Maas is a month-long period held sacred by Shiv Bhakts, when devotees of Lord Shiva surrender themselves to his blessings. AstroKapoor invites natives to book an online Rudrabhishek puja with a personalised Sankalp in their own name. Special Pandits and Acharyas perform the Rudrabhishek under the guidance of renowned astrologer Mr. Prashant Kapoor, with your name, gotra and Sankalp recited during the sacred rituals. This Shravan Maas special is limited to the first 101 natives, so book your Rudrabhishek Yagya for 2026 at the earliest.
Rudrabhishek means the ceremonial bathing of Lord Shiva in his Rudra avatar. The abhishek is performed with water blended with sacred herbs, milk, honey, curd, ghee and sugar as the rituals prescribe, accompanied by the recitation of the Rudra mantras. Along with honouring Lord Shiva, the ritual is traditionally held to cleanse the soul of the devotee in whose name the Sankalp is taken.
Shravan Maas is the most sacred period of the year for Shiv Bhakts, when Lord Shiva is believed to be in his most accessible and powerful form. A Rudrabhishek performed during this month is said to please him the most. Devotees traditionally undertake it seeking the removal of obstacles, strength in their spiritual growth, and a field of positive energy around them that supports both personal and professional life. The Mondays of the month — Sawan Somwar — are held to be the most auspicious days of all for the abhishek.
Shravan Maas 2026 runs from 3rd August 2026 for North India and 17th August 2026 for South and West India, and this year's Sawan Somwar dates are:
You may choose any of these days for your Rudrabhishek Sankalp, or let our Acharyas select the most suitable muhurat from your birth details.

Many devotees living in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia and the UAE want to be part of Shravan Maas but cannot travel to India for it. A Rudrabhishek Sankalp 2026 performed on your behalf resolves this entirely — the ritual is complete and valid when the pandit takes your name and gotra in the Sankalp, whether you are present in person or not. Distance is no obstacle to the puja, and prasad can be shipped to your address abroad.
Many people, due to paucity of time, are unable to perform the Rudrabhishek themselves, even though Shravan Maas is the ideal time for it. AstroKapoor's Shravan Maas special solves this. A Vedic Pandit takes your name, your gotra and the specific Sankalp behind having the ritual performed, which makes the puja deeply personal rather than generic, and directs it toward the goal you have set out. Where physical presence is difficult, this is how you become part of the sacred ritual.
Everybody may have a Rudrabhishek performed, but it is especially undertaken by those who have been advised it by their astrologer. Devotees commonly book a Rudrabhishek Sankalp when:
