Discover the benefits of the original 14 Mukhi Rudraksha — the third eye of Lord Shiva. It sharpens intuition and reduces Saturn's ill effects. Learn its mantra & method.

The 14 Mukhi Rudraksha (Chaudah Mukhi Rudraksha) is blessed by Lord Shiva and is believed to have emerged directly from his eye. Regarded as the third eye of Lord Shiva, this powerful bead awakens intuition and the sixth sense by strengthening the Ajna chakra, guiding the wearer to make correct and righteous decisions in life. It protects against wrong judgments, is said to help foresee future events, and removes the ill effects of the planet Saturn (Shani).

As described in mythology: "It is the exact resemblance of the third eye of Lord Shiva, so it should be worn to attain the highest spirituality in life."

The 14 Mukhi Rudraksha grants strong willpower and courage. It reduces the malefic effects of Saturn and helps remove the sorrows and miseries of life, ensuring that the wearer's decisions and judgments are guided along the right path. Because it awakens the third eye, it is considered one of the most spiritually powerful Rudrakshas.

The 14 Mukhi Rudraksha benefits span intuition, courage, protection and health. Here is a quick overview:

Intuition and Decision-Making Benefits

By strengthening the Ajna chakra, the 14 Mukhi Rudraksha awakens latent potential, sharpens intuition, and makes the wearer courageous, balanced and steady in problem-solving. It guides decisions and judgments along the correct path — like having the eye of Lord Shiva watching over you.

Protection and Health Benefits

This bead protects against ghosts, evil spirits and black magic, and is especially powerful for removing the miseries caused by Saturn. It provides a deep sense of safety and security, clears blockages in the Muladhara root chakra, and — when worn on the chest or forearm — is traditionally associated with relief from various physical ailments and disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

As the third eye of Lord Shiva, the Fourteen Mukhi Rudraksha unites spiritual insight with earthly protection. It heightens intuition and willpower, shields the wearer from negativity and Saturn's afflictions, and grounds them through the root chakra — making it a rare bead that supports both the highest spirituality and everyday security.

Ruling Lord

Lord Shiva.

Ruling Planet

Saturn (Shani). The 14 Mukhi Rudraksha reduces the malefic effects of Saturn and helps neutralise the hardships it brings.

The 14 Mukhi Rudraksha is especially recommended for:

  • Those going through Sade Sati or facing Saturn's ill effects
  • People who need sharper intuition and decision-making
  • Anyone seeking protection from negativity, evil spirits or black magic
  • Leaders, decision-makers and those in high-responsibility roles
  • Spiritual seekers wishing to awaken the third eye

For best results, the bead should be energized (Pran Pratishtha) before wearing.

Best Day and Method

It is traditionally worn on a Monday (the day of Lord Shiva) or a Saturday for Saturn relief, after a bath, threaded in red or gold thread, or as a pendant, while chanting its beej mantra. It may also be worn on the chest or forearm. Keep the bead clean and treat it with respect.

Chant the following mantras while wearing or worshipping the bead:

  • "Om Namah" — to be chanted 9 times before wearing
  • "Om Namah Shivaya"

Pooja for Energizing the Fourteen Mukhi Rudraksha

An auspicious day and Nakshatra are chosen, taking into account the client's name, date of birth and place of birth.

Preparation

The mind is cleared of worldly affairs and negative thoughts to achieve a positive, spiritual frame of mind. The East, North or North-East direction is chosen for the mat on which the pooja is performed. The Rudraksha is washed with unboiled milk, and sandalwood paste is applied.

The Ritual

It is then placed before an idol of Lord Shiva in a special asana. An incense stick is lit before the Rudraksha, and flowers, fruits, sweets and panchamrut are offered.

Panchamrut is a special prasad made of holy water, milk, ghee, honey and curd.

Completing the Pran Pratishtha

Our special pundits chant the client's name, place of birth and date of birth, requesting Lord Shiva to grant happiness and fulfil all the client's wishes. With eyes closed, the beej mantra is chanted 108 times, completing the Pran Pratishtha. After this process, the Rudraksha is fully energized and can be worn directly by the client.
