Ganesh Chaturthi 2025 Special: Muhurat, Powerful Rituals & Remedies to Remove Obstacles

Ganpati Bappa Morya! The Elephant God who removes all obstacles in the path, the one who ensures the work that we have begun with is happening at a smooth pace. Every year, he visits us, human being for 11 days. This year, Lord Ganesh has set his eyes on 27^th August 2025 to visit us. This visit or Ganesh Chaturthi as we call it, begins on Shukla Paksha Chaturthi in the month of Bhadrapada according to the Hindu calendar. Mr. Prashant Kapoor, the world’s 1st medical astrologer, explains the importance of Ganesh Chaturthi and what does this divine festival teach us.

All over India, especially in Maharashtra, people welcome Ganpati Bappa by bringing his idol to their homes. Before bringing the idol, people clean and decorate their homes. Each year, people decorate their houses with varied themes, ranging from jungle theme to Jyotirlinga theme. The idol is kept in the house either for 1.5 days, 3 days, 5 days, 7 days or 11 days, after which people immerse Ganpati idol in well water or sea.

This year, the ideal muhurat time for Pooja is from 11:05 am to 1:40 pm. Please ensure that when you welcome Ganpati at home, do the pooja at this time.

Powerful rituals

These rituals should be performed for the no.of days, Ganpati is at your home.

• Offer 11 or 21 modaks for progress and good luck.
• Light the Akhand Diya with Ghee and Saffron.
• Give a bath with curd, honey, sugar, scented oil and water to Ganpati.
• Offer moli to Ganpati with new clothes, if possible.
• Also, offer scented water to God while chanting the mantra on your own or ask a Panditji to chant it for you.
• Also, offer Panchamrit to Ganeshji. Panchamrit should be a combination of milk, ghee, sugar, curd, honey.

Ganesh Chaturthi Remedies

• During the 11 days, offer ghee and jaggery to Ganpati.
• Take paan and offer it to God on Wednesday.
• Students should offer Shami leaves to Lord Ganesh for studies and good marks.
• Durva should be offered to Lord Ganesh. This will bring professional growth.
• Offer Kumkum, modak, banana and laddoo to Ganpati Bappa. This will bring prosperity.
• Bring orange or white colored Ganpati at home.
